Account setup
This guide will cover:
For teachers, from the Teacher Dashboard you can set up accounts, view student progress, and manage accounts.
Account types
Code Avengers has four types of accounts:
- Individual Pro accounts
- Parent and Junior accounts
- Student accounts
- Teacher accounts
Individual Pro accounts
An individual account is the most simple account type. Simply follow the https://www.codeavengers.com/pro pathway to create an account and get started with meaningful learning in Computer Science.
Free accounts have access to only the free lessons.
Subscribed accounts can access all courses. You pay a subscription and you get access to all our courses, projects, quizzes and our IDEs for your own projects.
Parent and Junior accounts
Parents follow the https://www.codeavengers.com/jr pathway to create a parent account where you can add your children. The parent account has an “add child” button underneath the profile picture and above the filters. A child account can have free access to some lessons or a subscription access to either JR or PRO content.
There you can create a new child account or log into a child's account that already exists. Code Avengers automatically tracks your child’s achievements as they work through lessons and activities.
From your Parent Dashboard, you can view your children’s progress through the courses, the projects they’ve created, and the concepts they’ve learned.
To learn more go to this landing page for homeschooling parents.
Student accounts
A student account functions in a similar way to an individual account, but it is connected to a school and is typically created by a teacher. Payment comes from the teacher/school and access lasts for one year. Any support questions asked by the student are emailed to the teacher first. If the teacher cannot provide support, they can then forward questions onto support@codeavengers.com.
Teacher accounts
A teacher account gives you access to the Code Avengers courses, to the Teacher tab and to the Teacher Dashboard. The Teacher Tab allows you to see lesson plans for each course; these include learning outcomes, unplugged activities, links to further resources and more. The Teacher Dashboard lets you add and remove both student and teacher accounts and monitor student progress. To create this account, follow the https://www.codeavengers.com/edu pathway and then read below on adding students and teachers.

FAQ
Find your students
Depending on the method you chose to create accounts here is how to see your students.
- Refresh your browser and go to MY CLASSES on the Teacher Dashboard's left menu
- If a whole class is not appearing in MY CLASSES, write the exact name of the class in ADD CLASS NAME, select create class name, and refresh
- You can also find all student accounts in your school in the VIEW ALL STUDENTS button on the top right of your screen. Here you can select and move students to a class
- If you cannot find your student accounts, check VERIFY STUDENTS on the Teacher Dashboard's left menu to accept an account into your school domain
Class codes
Think of the class code like a label. You can create any name for each class, but it should be unique. For example if you have two classes named "Level-1", it will show all students under one class.
- A student can only be in one class
- A teacher can manage multiple classes
- Teachers can 'share' classes by creating a class with the exact class name in each of their My Class areas.
